VNPT's ECOLOGICAL HEALTH SYSTEM starts when the application status and the legal corridor for information technology in the health sector in Vietnam are still in the development stage and stems from the actual needs of Department of Health of Tien Giang Province to apply information technology in managing health facilities at all levels as well as the entire health sector. Prior to the urgent need to meet the change / update continuously according to the management requirements of the Ministry of Health and Social Insurance Agency with the identification of the need to have more suitable products for the health sector of Vietnam, VNPT Group has determined its objectives and decided to build VNPT’S HEALTH ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM after consulting experiences from international software.
In 2015, upon implementing the Government’s Resolution on medical examination and treatment and payment of health insurance connection, VNPT upgraded its products according to the orientation of the State and deployed on a national scale at most health facilities as well as agencies of the Ministry of Health and Provincial Departments of Health.
Products in this ecosystem include: Hospital Information Management Software (VNPT HIS), Image storage and transmission software (VNPT RIS / PACs), testing management software (VNPT LIS), health station management software (VNPT YTCS), medical data integration portal (VNPT DLYT). This is the software solution that fully, accurately and safely provides health management information at medical facilities to meet the medical examination and treatment needs of medical facilities at all levels. Information on medical examination and treatment is connected among the levels and transferred to the Health Data Integration Portal directly managed by the Ministry of Health. Here, it provides communication, data entry, search, information control and data communication systems for medical facilities as well as people, connecting to all smart devices, in accordance with the technology trend 4.0 and is capable of responding to 21,808 messages per second ~ 1,884,211,200 messages / day.
With the deployment of this ecosystem on a national scale and access to many users, the software is designed to be simple and user-friendly, whereby users only need to know basic computing skills. With the data base collected, the system is able to analyze and make forecasts to support decision making for leaders of the Ministry of Health and Department of Health.

With the deployment of nearly 8,000 medical facilities, the ecological system records nearly 5,000,000 visits per month. Products in this ecosystem are highly appreciated by the customers, namely leaders of Departments of Health, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc., in terms of software quality, labor productivity increase and minimization of mistakes in the process of medical examination and treatment and settlement of medical examination and treatment costs with health insurance. In addition, there is a lot of positive feedback from patients when there is not any hustle and bustle situation at health facilities that apply products of this ecosystem. In the future, these products will continue to be improved in terms of quality in order to meet the continuous development needs of technology as well as requirements from customers to provide them with the best services and meet the daily work requirements.
