Since July 1 2016, innovative achievements of the Australasian Sustainable Wellness Academy (ASWA) encompass the following:

Launching ASWA

Our workplaces need to adapt if we are to thrive as human beings.

With our 25 years’ experience in delivering award-winning wellness strategy and training solutions, we identified an unmet need in the marketplace, created a service to meet that need and launched ASWA on the 28th July 2017 to provide an effective wellbeing solution for businesses with our specialist skills training and mentoring of wellness leaders in organisations across all industries.

Corporate social responsibility

ASWA has a commitment to making a profound impact to our local and global community. At the local level, we support initiatives through sponsorships, donations, workshops & presentations to business and industry forums and schools. At the global level, ASWA have been active supporters and proud investors in Soroptimist International projects.

The ASWA Wellness Within Project is a community project designed to support the personal wellbeing of community services workers and individuals requiring the services of those organisations.

Research and development

As there was no accredited course in Asia Pacific to meet these wellbeing needs of businesses, ASWA developed the courses to meet those needs.

A major component of the R&D process was the Australian Skills Quality Association (ASQA) application for gaining course Accreditation of the course: 10299NAT Diploma of Wellness. This consisted of a year-long consultative process with various experts and organisational leaders from various industries across a variety of countries, to clarify what businesses are needing in terms of wellness management skills and knowledge for workplaces. This skill set is of particular importance for the Australian business market in order to meet their legal obligations under workplace health and safety.

In order to meet the global demand for 70,000 spa managers by the year 2020 (Global Wellness Institute) the Spa Management option of the Diploma of Wellness course was also developed.

Product design & development

The ASQA course accreditation process itself took over 9 months and was granted in February 2017.

This was no minor feat for a small business and we are proud of the accomplishments that we have made whilst remaining authentic to our core values of:

□ Informative (to educate and empower)
□ Human (caring and nurturing)
□ Authentic (sincere, real, trustworthy)
□ Collaborative (relationships, working together, supportive)
□ Innovative (doing better, for people and planet) Information Technology

Information Technology has enabled us to penetrate global markets that would be impossible to reach without technology as a fundamental factor in the ASWA business model.

Students in our programs are located in a variety of countries ranging from remote locations in Australia to Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, Kenya, Jordan and the Maldives. This greater market penetration would not have been possible without technology to connect us with our customers and deliver our training services in a highly personalised manner.

Customer service

Our employees, consultants and partners are our number one priority in terms of customer service. By cultivating a wellness and strong service culture from within, our customers feel and see the difference this makes to their ASWA experience through a strong framework of relationships that raise each other to perform at their best.

We do this through our 25+ years of experience in the 5+ service industry and adapting it to the training industry. It is innate to our philosophy that the people that are connected to the ASWA experience in any way are treated as a valued guest, with the greatest care and respect for their needs.

We call this ‘The ASWA Wellness Approach”. Our expertise in wellness in an organisational and leadership context, combined with our high service standards are what clearly differentiates us from other training service providers in the marketplace.
